How do you talk about something this awful? 


By now, we all know about the horrific shooting in Tuscon Arizona that occurred on Saturday-- taking the lives of six people , one a nine year old girl--and wounding thirteen others.

Okay-- we all know that our country still has a Wild-West mentality-- a certain "hang 'em high" sensibility, hiding behind the veneer of respectability. We also know that emotions have been kicked up to fever pitch by Right-Wing Pundits and Politicians who use violent rhetoric to express hateful views.  

"Apparently, an anti-Giffords event was held in June with the billing: "Get on Target for Victory in November. Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly."

 Sarah Palin had a "target list", and Giffords was on it.

The infamous Westboro Baptist Church will picket the funerals of the Arizona Shooting Victims. 

Somehow, I'm not surprised.
